JCI Craiova has been organising an itinerant non-conventional cinema in both rural and urban locations to raise awareness among young people about environmental protection, action and engagement. This activity is part of their project CleanUp Craiova.
The event has consisted so far of multiple projections of documentaries in different locations throughout the months of July, September and October. It has welcomed not only young people, who were encouraged to bring along their family, friends and colleagues, but also adults, all taking part in an activity meant to foster intergenerational dialogue or to simply allow them to enjoy their time together.
Organised on the Fridays of 28 July, 15 September, 29 September and 27 October 2023, starting at eight o’clock in the evening, the gatherings took place in the welcoming setting of the “Constantin Brâncuși” Centre in Craiova, as well as in Murgaș, a commune in Dolj County. These ‘movie nights’ were dedicated to learning and having fun at the same time, with documentaries about our planet, full of information, action, crying, laughter, and fabulous images of our HOME.
