Mindchangers in the spotlight at the AJC festival

Mindchangers featured at the Agora Jeunes Citoyen-ne-s (AJC Festival), a 3-week festival entirely free and dedicated to youth participation and expression. On 20 February, the Mindchangers community of Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles had both the honour of opening the festival and the unique opportunity to present their initiatives and exchange views with the public.

The whole Mindchangers team in Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles (FWB) are extremely proud to share with you the resounding success of the recent AJC Festival, which stands for “Agora Jeunes Citoyen.ne.s”, and took place from 20 February to 9 March 2024 at TRACK, in the heart of Brussels’ North Station.

As part of the 2024 Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, Forum des Jeunes, Bureau International Jeunesse, and FWB’s Youth Department worked hand in hand to offer a unique platform where young people can express themselves, share their ideas, and contribute to shaping a better future. From this fruitful collaboration, the AJC Festival emerged, offering a unique 3-week opportunity to take part in workshops, cultural evening, debates and conferences dedicated to youth participation and active citizenship.

Mindchangers had the privilege to open this remarkable festival with an afternoon of exchange and debates with the participation of some of the grantees and their youths. This meeting provided a valuable space for experience sharing and dialogue around their initiatives, thereby reinforcing their commitment in favour of a more sustainable world.

The first week of the festival also offered the opportunity to showcase the 20 projects that were granted in FWB. During a 3-day exhibition, which attracted a lot of interested viewers, the community of Mindchangers was in the spotlight, allowing the FWB grantees and young people to present their innovative ideas and creative solutions and share their vision with a wide audience, inspiring everyone to get involved in social change.
