We met in Brussels to celebrate 4 years of youth engagement, collaboration between young people, CSOs and LAs, local sustainable initiatives.
This article marks the conclusion of a project that has supported local grassroots initiatives, strengthened civil society organizations and local authorities, and organized both local and international events—all with a powerful message: young people are key to building a more just and sustainable society.

On November 23, 2024, the University of Craiova hosted the international conference “Engaging with Sustainability in Higher Education,” which focused on a highly relevant topic: the role of higher education institutions in promoting sustainability and the active involvement of young people in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
During the closing event, four panel discussions on young people’s commitment to sustainable development were organised inviting experts from the European Commission, civil society and public offices.
These are the takeaways for each panel.
On October 10th, Mindchangers celebrated its regional conclusion in Baden-Württemberg under the title “Spot on Young Power – the final Mindchangers Summit” at the New Palace in Stuttgart. Once again, it became evident, that young people in Baden-Württemberg are full of innovative ideas and are actively committed to a sustainable future and the 2030 Agenda!
Monica Tilea, associate professor at the University of Craiova (Romania) and leading researcher in the Mindchangers project, was present at Jornada Internacional de Educación para la Paz y la Ciudadanía Mundial organised by the UNESCO Chair for Democratic Citizenship and Cultural Freedom of the Universidad de La Rioja (Spain) during 28-29 October 2024.

Launched in 2020, the Mindchangers project is now coming to an end. To send it off in style, an event was held in Brussels at the end of September with many of its protagonists present. An ideal opportunity to take stock of this wonderful European adventure and shine a light on its numerous legacies.
Young students from La Rioja are invited past Thursday, 3 October, to take part in a day of short films, organised by La Rioja Governement, within the framework of the Mindchangers Project, to raise awareness of the environment and migration through films.
