A delegation of young people from Dolj County assumed the role of agents of change and strived to make their voices heard in the community. Under the coordination of CEDRU and in partnership with “Henri Coanda” Theoretical High School in Craiova, partners in the subgranted project ECOSHADES, eight high-school students participated in the 7th edition of the International Meeting of Orthodox Youth – ITO 2023, which took place in Timișoara (Romania), between 31 August and 3 September 2023.

The event welcomed more than 3500 young people, aged 16-35, from the country and abroad, who participated in the activities organised during this interdisciplinary and interconfessional gathering. These included plenary speeches, informative and training sessions, workshops, art and crafts exhibitions, processions and many more. Current topics addressed targeted general and specific issues related to the prevention of human trafficking and drug consumption, respect for human rights and integrity, prevention of discrimination, protection of the environment, solidarity and tolerance.

Our students were actively involved in the activities, establishing contact and partnership, building communication bridges with participants, promoting the values of the EcoShades project and making their voices heard within this international community.
