The young people worked on the issue of engagement and also participated in awareness activities around the SDGs (with an escape game), disabled sport and the environment.
Mindchangers on the Druck Sache podcast
In episode #40 “Young voices for the 2030 Agenda” of the Druck Sache podcast, Müzeyen Tasdelen, Mindchangers project coordinator at SEZ, and Navika Deol, Mindchangers ambassador, talked to host State Secretary Rudi Hoogvliet about their involvement in the Mindchangers campaign. The two Mindchangers experts provide insights into the structures of the EU campaign and explain both – the goals of the project and what they offer young people who want to engage. Müzeyen Tasdelen and Navika Deol share their personal experiences of volunteering.
_Tips to engage young people
It is impossible to be an expert in every field. For activities or topics that are not really your strong suit, you could involve a partner with renowned expertise. Also, partnerships between a CSO and a LA, or with youth organisations or informal groups of youth, can have a long-lasting impact, working both on the territory and at policy level.
Engagement brings a variety of benefits, not only for the community but also at personal, social and professional levels. Highlight the possibility to develop soft and hard skills by taking part in your project. At the same time, make sure that engagement is accessible and suitable to everyone.
_Projects

“The Impossible Triangle”— is a compelling sculpture by Mastro Vito, one of the young mindchangers from Associazione DAI!, addressing the issues of our consumption system by serving a visual warning about the inequalities present in today’s society. On December 2nd the artwork had its inauguration. Discover more about the project and engage in the conversation about societal inequalities with Associazione DAI! and the Municipality of Cambiano.
